How to Take It

Important Warnings
Renal or hepatic impairment, long term use in young patients
Use in reduction of hypokalaemia induced by diuretics or amphotericin is not recommended in children
Potassium supplements must not be given with potassium-sparing diuretics
Administration of a potassium-sparing diuretic to a patient receiving an ACE inhibitor or an angiotensin-IIreceptor antagonist can also cause severe hyperkalaemia
