How to Take It

Adult · IV Inf
60 to 100 mg/ sq.meter — As recommended.
Over 1 hour, repeated every 3 weeks

Safety Alerts
You should not receive docetaxel if you have: a low white blood cell (WBC) count
or a history of severe allergic reaction to docetaxel or to any medicine that contains polysorbate 80
Tell your doctor about your complete health history and all medications you have used
Docetaxel can cause severe side effects including death, especially: if you receive high doses
if you have liver disease
Important Warnings
Docetaxel can cause severe side effects including death, especially if you receive high doses, if you have liver disease , or if you have non-small cell lung cancer and you have been treated in the past with chemotherapy that contains platinum (cisplatin, carboplatin , oxaliplatin )
You may have a life-threatening allergic reaction
Get emergency medical help if you have hives, a red skin rash, trouble breathing, or swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat
You may have swelling in your intestines, which could cause death quickly
Call your doctor right away if you have stomach pain or tenderness, diarrhea, or fever
You will be given steroid medication to help prevent fluid retention
Tell your doctor if you have swelling in your lower legs, rapid weight gain, or shortness of breath
Side Effects
You may have a life-threatening allergic reaction or a severe skin reaction. Get emergency medical help if you have signs of an allergic reaction: hivesburning eyesskin painred or purple skin rash with blistering and peelingfeversore throatwheezingchest tightnesstrouble breathingfeeling like you might pass outswelling of your facelipstongueor throat. You may have swelling in your intestineswhich could cause death quickly. Call your doctor right away if you have stomach pain or tenderness
Drug Interactions
Docetaxel contains alcohol. Using other drugs that can make you sleepy can worsen the feeling of being drunk. Ask your doctor before using opioid medication

or medicine for anxiety or seizures. Other drugs may affect docetaxel
including prescription and over-the-counter medicines
