Carbimazole is contraindicated in conditions like Nodular goitre,Sub-acute thyroiditis,Post-partum painless thyroiditis
Important Warnings
Excessive dose of carbimazole (antithyroid) should not be used, because it may cause hypothyroidism or goiter Treatment should be discontinued immediately if there is any clinical or laboratory evidence of neutropenia
It is not recommended to use high dose during pregnancy or lactation
