Cefizox

Inject deep IM into large muscle mass. Inject direct IV over 3-5 min. Infuse intermittent infusion over 30 min. Reconstitute for IV with SWFI as follows: For 500 mg vial: Add 5 ml, 1 gm vial: Add 10 ml, 2 gm vial: Add 20 ml. Shake well. Dilute reconstituted solution further with 50-100 ml of a compatible solution, such as NS or D5W before administration. Reconstitute for IM with SWFI as follows: For 500 mg vial: Add 1.5 ml, 1 gm vial: Add 3 ml. 2 gm vial: Add 6 ml. Shake well. Divide 2 gm doses and ad-minister in different sites.
