How to Take It

Should be taken after food for optimum absorption. The usual course is seven days.

Cefuroxime can cause serious or life-threatening allergic reactions
You should not use cefuroxime if you have ever had a severe allergic reaction to an antibiotic, such as: cefuroxime, cefadroxil , cefdinir, cefoxitin, cefprozil, ceftriaxone , cephalexin , Keflex, Omnicef, and others
avibactam, relebactam, sulbactam, tazobactam, vaborbactam, and others
or amoxicillin (Amoxil, Augmentin, Moxatag), ampicillin , dicloxacillin , oxacillin, penicillin, and others
Tell your doctor if you have ever had: an stomach or intestinal disorder such as colitis

Tell your doctor if you have an allergy to an antibiotic, especially penicillin
Side Effects
Get emergency medical help if you have signs of an allergic reaction (hivesdifficult breathingswelling in your face or throat) or a severe skin reaction (feversore throatburning in your eyesskin painred or purple skin rash that spreads and causes blistering and peeling). Cefuroxime may cause serious side effects. Call your doctor at once if you have: severe stomach paindiarrhea that is watery or bloody (even if it occurs months after your last dose)jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes)feverchillsa seizureor chest pain. Common side effects of cefuroxime may include: nauseavomitingdiarrhea

Dry Powder for Inj Store at room temperature. Protect from Sunlight. Oral Susp (reconstituted) Store in a well closed container, at room temperature, Below 25°C or in refrigerator. Do not Freeze. Use within 10 days if refrigerated and within 10 days if kept at room temperature. Premixed Frozen Soln for Inj Store Below -20°C. Tab, Syrup, Dry Powder for Oral Susp Store Below 40°C. Protect from Sunlight. Thawed Store at room temperature or refrigerator. Use within 7days if refrigerated and within 24 hrs if kept at room temperature.
