In cardiac disease, Addison disease, acute dehydration, renal (kidney) insufficiency, chronic renal (kidney) disease, liver disease, pulmonary disease, toxemia of pregnancy, hypoparathyroidism and rickets, and if patient is on sodium and potassium restricted diet, in such cases use phosphorus with caution
