How to Take It

Adult · IM
200 mg — As recommended.
This dose provide contraception for 8 weeks. The dose is for Norethisterone Enanthate.

Adult · PO
2.5 to 10 mg — 24 hourly
As Required. This dose is for Norethisterone (Acetate, Heptanoate).
Safety Alerts
History of, or predisposition to, thrombophlebitis, thromboembolic disorders, cerebrovascular disease, history of pruritus, during pregnancy deteriorating otosclerosis, idiopathic jaundice or pemphigoid gestations (herpes gestations), impaired hepatic excretory function such as Dubin-Johnson & Rotor syndromes, sickle cell anaemia, acute or chronic liver disease, jaundice, porphyria, disorders of lipid metabolism, Oestrogen carcinomas, endometriosis, undiagnosed genital bleeding, pregnancy, lactation
Important Warnings
Hypertension, myocardial or renal disease, asthma, varicose veins, epilepsy, chloasma, uterine fibro-myomata
Examine BP pelvic organs & breasts before & regularly during treatment
Treatment should not be carried out until at least 8 weeks have elapsed since the last menstruation and the existence of pregnancy has been ruled out
