How to Take It

Adult · PO
4 to 12 g — 24 hourly
For 5-6 days. Frequency may be increased upto 4 times if needed.

or an allergy to similar antibiotics such as amikacin, gentamicin, kanamycin, paromomycin, streptomycin , or tobramycin

myasthenia gravis

Neomycin can harm your kidneys or cause hearing problems
Hearing loss may be permanent if you take too much neomycin or take it for longer than recommended
Side Effects
Get emergency medical help if you have signs of an allergic reaction : hivesdifficult breathingswelling of your facelipstongueor throat. Neomycin may cause serious side effects. Call your doctor at once if you have: numbness or tingly feeling under your skinhearing problems (even long after you stop taking neomycin)muscle twitchingseizureweak or shallow breathingor kidney problems --swellingurinating lessfeeling tired or short of breath. Common side effects of neomycin may include: nauseavomitingor diarrhea. This is not a complete list of side effects and others may occur. Call your doctor for medical advice about side effects.
