How It Works
For IV injection 1 gm lincomycin diluted in not less than 100 ml of appropriate solution and infused over a period of not less than one hour. Dilute 600 mg dose in at least 100 ml D5W, 010W, NS, dextrose 5% in NS, or other compatible diluent. Dilute higher doses in 100 ml of a compatible diluent for each gm being given.
How to Take It

Adult · IM
600 mg — 24 hourly
Frequency may be increased upto twice daily if needed.

Adult · IV
600 mg — 12 hourly
Frequency may be increased upto 3 times if needed.

Adult · PO
500 mg — 8 hourly
With empty stomach. Frequency may be increased to 4 times if needed.

Child · Intra Muscular
10 to 0 mg/kg — As recommended.
In divided doses.

Child · Oral
30 to 0 mg/kg — 8 hourly

Child · Slow IV
5 to 10 mg/kg — 8 hourly
