How It Works
IM: Inject deep IM into large muscle mass. Inject direct IV over 3-5 min. Infuse intermittent infusion over 15-30 min. Restitute by adding 3 or 3.6 ml SWFI to each 750 mg vial to yield 220 mg/ml.
How to Take It

1.78 mg/kg — 12 hourly

250 to 500 mg — 12 hourly
Should be taken after food for optimum absorption. The usual course is seven days.

Child · otitus media over 2 years of age.
250 to 0 mg — 12 hourly

Child · maximum of 500mg daily

Safety Alerts
Cefuroxime can cause serious or life-threatening allergic reactions
You should not use cefuroxime if you have ever had a severe allergic reaction to an antibiotic, such as: cefuroxime, cefadroxil , cefdinir, cefoxitin, cefprozil, ceftriaxone , cephalexin , Keflex, Omnicef, and others
avibactam, relebactam, sulbactam, tazobactam, vaborbactam, and others
or amoxicillin (Amoxil, Augmentin, Moxatag), ampicillin , dicloxacillin , oxacillin, penicillin, and others
Tell your doctor if you have ever had: an stomach or intestinal disorder such as colitis

Dry Powder for Inj Store at room temperature. Protect from Sunlight. Oral Susp (reconstituted) Store in a well closed container, at room temperature, Below 25°C or in refrigerator. Do not Freeze. Use within 10 days if refrigerated and within 10 days if kept at room temperature. Premixed Frozen Soln for Inj Store Below -20°C. Tab, Syrup, Dry Powder for Oral Susp Store Below 40°C. Protect from Sunlight. Thawed Store at room temperature or refrigerator. Use within 7days if refrigerated and within 24 hrs if kept at room temperature.
