Cefixime Trihydrate is the derivative of Cefixime. It is of Semi Synthetic origin and belongs to Cephalosporin. It belongs to Peptidoglycan synthesis inhibitor pharmacological group on the basis of mechanism of action and also classified in Antibiotic, Cephalosporin-3rd Gen pharmacological group.The Molecular Weight of Cefixime is 453.44. How to Take It

200 to 400 mg — 24 hourly
Dose vary according to indication.

Scraped Dose
Follow all directions on your cefixime label. Do not take cefixime in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended. You may take cefixime with or without food. The cefixime chewable tab

4 mg/kg — 12 hourly
It may be given once a day.
