It is of Synthetic origin and benzimidazole derivative. It is structurally related to butyrophenone neuroleptics like haloperidol. It belongs to Antiemetic/Antivertigo Agents pharmacological group. The Molecular Weight of Domperidone is 425.90. Its pKa is 7.9.
How to Take It

Adult · PO
10 to 20 mg — 6 hourly
15-30 minutes before meal. It can be used for maximum 12 weeks.

30 to 60 mg — 6 hourly

Cardiac disease, when administered concomitantly with drugs that prolong the QT interval or potent CYP3A4 inhibitors, Hepatic impairment, Prolactinoma, GI haemorrhage, mechanical perforation or obstruction
Important Warnings
Children, if there are cardiac concerns, obtain ECG before and during treatment, patients over 60 years, increased risk of ventricular arrhythmia, renal impairment
