Nimesulide is contraindicated in conditions like GI ulceration, GI hemorrhage

Important Warnings

Nimesulide must be used with care among patients with a history of bleeding, with illnesses of the upper gastrointestinal tract and to subjects undergoing treatment with anticoagulants or drugs that inhibit platelet aggregation
The patients must be under direct medical supervision while taking substances with limited gastric tolerance at the same time
Since the drug is eliminated mainly through the kidneys, patient with the renal insufficiency must have a lower dosage depending on the glomerular filtration rate
The product must not be administered to the patient with severe renal insufficiency
The product can cause water retention, therefore it must not be administered to the patient with reduced cardiac function
Patients whose activity require alertness must take the product with care in case they notice drowsiness or vertigo during therapy
Cases of visual disturbances when using other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs have been reported, If eye problems appear, the treatment must be interrupted and an eye examination must be performed

Side Effects

The severe or irreversible adverse effects of Nimesulidewhich give rise to further complications include Stevens Johnson syndromeLyell's syndromehepatoxicity. Nimesulide produces potentially life-threatening effects which include Anaphylaxis. which are responsible for the discontinuation of Nimesulide therapy. The signs and symptoms that are produced after the acute overdosage of Nimesulide include HypotensionHypothermia.
