How to Take It

Adult · PO
500 to 3000 mg — 12 hourly
Frequency may be increased upto 3times/day, if needed. Gradually increase upto 2-3 g/day.

Safety Alerts
Renal or hepatic impairment, diabetic ketoacidosis or pre-coma, cardiac or respiratory failure, recent MI, acute alcohol intoxication, alcoholism
Important Warnings
Assess risk factors for lactic acidosis
Monitor renal function at least annually
Discontinue for 48 hours before and after surgery and measure renal function before resuming therapy, Elderly
Side Effects
