Safety Alerts
Severe hepatic or renal impairment, hemodialysis, patient with severe GI condition including toxic megacolon, myasthenia gravis, narrow-angle glaucoma, orthostatic hypotention
Important Warnings
Selective alpha-blockers reduce blood pressure
patients receiving antihypertensive treatment may require reduced dosage and specialist supervision
Caution required in cataract surgery (risk of intra-operative floppy iris syndrome), elderly and in patients with hepatic impairment and renal impairment
Bladder outflow obstruction at risk of urinary retention, GI obstruction, risk of oesophagitis, reduced GI motility, severe renal or moderate hepatic impairment, autonomic neuropathy, hiatus hernia, oesophageal reflux, neurogenic bladder disorder, susceptibility to QT-interval prolongation
