How It Works
Reconstitute for IM with sterile water for injection 2 ml in 500 mg and 4 ml in 1 gm vial. The preparation is single use only. Reconstitute for IV infusion with sterile water for injection 5 ml in 500 mg vial shake to make solution. Transfer the entire contents to the IV infusion diluent. Protect from light.
How to Take It

Adult · IM
1 to 2 g — As recommended.

2 to 4 mg — 6 hourly

250 to 500 mg — 12 hourly
Maximum dose: 4 g/day. Frequency may be increased to 3 times if needed.

50 to 100 mg/kg — As recommended.
For Paeds of All Ages . given in 4 divided doses .This dose is for severe infections.(to maximum of
