You should not use lorazepam if you have: narrow-angle glaucoma
or a history of allergic reaction to any benzodiazepine ( alprazolam , diazepam , Valium , Xanax , Versed , Klonopin , and others)

Lorazepam may be habit-forming and should be used only by the person it was prescribed for
This medicine should never be shared with another person, especially someone who has a history of drug abuse or addiction
Do not stop using lorazepam without asking your doctor
You may have life-threatening withdrawal symptoms if you stop using the medicine suddenly after long-term use
Side Effects
Get emergency medical help if you have signs of an allergic reaction to lorazepam: hivesdifficulty breathingswelling of your facelipstongueor throat. Lorazepam can slow or stop your breathingespecially if you have recently used an opioid medication or alcohol. A person caring for you should seek emergency medical attention if you have slow breathing with long pausesblue colored lipsor if you are hard to wake up. Lorazepam may cause serious side effects. Call your doctor at once if you have: severe drowsinessunusual changes in mood or behaviorbeing agitated or talkativesudden restless feeling or excitementseizuresdepressionthinking problems
