Cardiovascular disease, diabetes, epilepsy, chronic constipation, history of bipolar disorder, history of mania and psychosis, hyperthyroidism, prostatic hypertrophy, increased intra-ocular pressure, patients with a significant risk of suicide, phaeochromocytoma, susceptibility to angle-closure glaucoma, urinary retention, hepatic impairment (contraindicated if severe),concurrent ECT
