How It Works

Administer IM injection in deltoid muscle only. IV injection administered by direct IV injection and continuous IV infusion. Product containing 40, 100, or 200 mg/ml should not be administered by direct IV injection without prior dilution. Usually 1 or 2 gm of Lignocaine is added to 1000 ml of dextrose 5% to form a 1 or 2 mg/ml (0.1 or 0.2 %) solution.

Safety Alerts

Important Warnings

When used by regional administration:Congestive cardiac failure, debilitated patients, elderly, epilepsy, hypovolaemia, impaired cardiac conduction, impaired respiratory function,myasthenia gravis, post cardiac surgery, shock, acute porphyria, renal and hepatic impairment
To avoid excessive dosage inobese patientsdose should be calculated on the basis ofideal body-weight
