How It Works
It should be administered intramuscularly in the deltoid or the vastus lateralis of children below two years of age. It should not be injected into the gluteal area or areas where there may be a nerve trunk. Do not administer intravenously, intradermally, or subcutaneously. It should not be mixed with other vaccine or medicinal products in the same syringe. Prevention becomes effective in 2-3 weeks after immunization.
