Gamma Amino ß Hydroxybutyric Acid are the derivatives of Amino Acids. It is of Natural origin and belongs to L-Amino acid. It belongs to Nutrients and Vitamins pharmacological group on the basis of mechanism of action. It is weakly acidic drug.
How to Take It

Adult · IV Inf
5 to 10 % — 24 hourly

Adult · IV Inf
500 ml — 24 hourly
Over 4-6 hrs. at the rate of 30-40 drops/min.

Child · Intra Venous
1 to 2.5 mg/kg — 24 hourly

Amino acids should be used with caution in patients with any pre-existing kidney disease, digestive disorder, other illness or if have any allergy

Side Effects

Check with your doctor or nurse immediately if any of the following side effects occur: Incidence not known Bloating or swelling of the facearmshandslower legsor feet blue lips and fingernails blurred vision chest pain confusion cough or hoarseness coughing that sometimes produces a pink frothy sputum drowsiness dry mouth fever or chills flusheddry skin fruit-like breath odor increased hunger increased sweating increased thirst increased urination irregular heartbeat loss of appetite loss of consciousness lower back or side pain muscle crampspainor tremors nausea or vomiting numbnesstinglingpainor weakness in the hands or feet painful or difficult urination pale skin rapiddeep breathing restlessness seizures stomach cramps or pain trouble breathing unusual tiredness or weakness unusual weight gain or loss weakness and heaviness of the legs yellow eyes or skin Some side effects may occur that usually do not need medical attention. These side effects may go away during treatment as your body adjusts to the medicine. Alsoyour health care professional may be able to tell you about ways to prevent or reduce some of these side effects.
