How to Take It

This two mL iron sorbitol contains the recommended single daily dose (100 mg) for an adult of 70 kg body weight.

Iron sorbitol should be administered only by IM injection in the treatment of accurately diagnosed iron deficiency anemia
Side Effects
There are no common side effects reported for tafamidisbut diarrhea has been reported as a possible side effect post-approval. People taking tafamidis do not require any additional lab testing or monitoring. As with any medicinehypersensitivity (allergic) reactions are possible. Get emergency medical help if you have signs of an allergic reactionsuch as hivesdifficulty breathingor swelling of your facelipstongueor throat. There are no warningscontraindicationsor serious side effects listed for tafamidis. Call your doctor for medical advice about side effects. You may report side effects to the FDA at 1-800-FDA-1088.
Drug Interactions
Tell your healthcare provider about all the medicines you take

vitamins
and herbal supplements. Some medicines may affect the way tafamidis works
and tafamidis may affect how some medicines work. Especially tell your healthcare provider if you take: medications that are BCRP substrates such as methotrexate
rosuvastatin
or imatinib. Your healthcare provider may need to reduce the dosage of these medications. Know the medicines you take. Keep a list of all your medicines. Show them to your healthcare provider or pharmacist when you get a new medicine. Do not take any new medicine without talking with your doctor.
